Did you know that Nebraska Dance offers two classes just for little ones from 18 months through age 2? Our Peanut track of classes is just the thing for your active little one!
First up is our My Little One and Me class. This class is for students aged 18 months through 2 years of age, and is taken with a parent or adult caregiver- moms, dads, grandparents, best aunties- you name it, and we have had them join us in MLOM class! Our youngest students get an introduction to the classroom/studio setting with the comfort and encouragement of having their favorite people in class with them. Students are introduced to rhythms and dance vocabulary, while being active and getting all their wiggles out!
Is your budding dancer ready to take class independently? Creative Movement class is designed just for them! This class is geared towards two-year-olds (some younger three-olds may prefer this class option as well). The student takes the class by themselves, while mom or dad can watch from the lobby and congratulate them after class on a job well done. Students in Creative Movement class will expand on their dance vocabulary, and continue to develop their studio etiquette, musicality, and coordination.
Registration for Peanut classes is still available for the 23.24 season. Season enrollment means your student can have the option to dance in our 2024 Concert, an amazing production you won’t want to miss. Due to the amazing level of development these little ones go through over the course of 6 months, we wait until the spring to let parents decide on dance concert participation and order costumes. Or, you can also check out one of our 6-week session options, like our Winter Session, with registration open now. These short-term commitment classes are a perfect way to test the waters, and see if a dance class will be your child’s new favorite activity!
Whether you choose a session class or a season class to finish out the year, your little one will be sure to enjoy their time in our Peanut Classes at Nebraska Dance. Do you have registration questions? Contact Sarah at [email protected] for more information.
