March 1st and 2nd, 2025 will mark the beginning of performance and competition season for our 24.25 Programs. The Nebraska Dance Winter Showcase event will take place at Elkhorn North High School. Split into five performances over the weekend, each of our Competitive and Performance Programs, along with soloists, are able to take the stage and shine. Costumes, lights, the thrill of the stage and all the backstage fun and camaraderie are the perfect way to kick off the season!
Our theme for the season is “Rooted in Gratitude”, a sentiment that echoes our efforts to encourage students to be thankful for the gift of dance in their lives, as well as grateful for all gifts from our Creator. The ambiance for the event will invite friends and family attending the shows to dive deeper into what this gratitude means to them.
For our Squad program, who has already had an eventful competition season, this will be their final performance of the year. We are already looking forward to the 25.26 Squad Season to come!
For the rest of our programs, this first stage performance of the year helps us to finalize preparations for the competitions and events coming up in the next few weeks and months. Company will be travelling to Chicago the weekend after the showcase, and soon after all of our competitive programs will be dancing in Omaha, Kansas City and Des Moines, at various events throughout March, April and May. Another favorite event of the year is our Benefit Concert, our annual showcase of dances with proceeds all going towards a local charity organization. As we wrap up the season, our dancer will perform in the 2025 Dance Concerts, and then Company will travel to Nationals. We are excited and ready to dive into the season rooted with the gratitude inspired by our shows.
Family and friends of the dancers, as well as future prospective members of ND programs are encouraged to attend the shows to support the dancers, and learn more about what ND Programs are all about. Tickets go on sale, Tuesday, February 11th!
