2023 Winter Showcase Recap

March 4th and 5th marked the beginning of performance and competition season for our 23.24 Programs. Our weekend at Elkhorn North High School was jam-packed with dancing and fun! With six performances over the weekend, each of our Competitive and Performance Programs along with soloists were able to take the stage for the first time this season. Costumes, lights, and all the backstage fun and camaraderie were the perfect way to kick off the season!

Dancers, along with their families and friends, were greeted with mounds of bright and cheery sunflowers upon entering the building.  Our theme for the season reminds us to “be like a sunflower- bright, sunny, and positive. Spread seeds of happiness, stand tall, and always turn to the light”. As dancers and fans gathered in the cafeteria, they could color sunflower pictures while spending time together or enjoying a treat from our concessions.

Our Squad program made this their final performance of the season, and their program enjoyed awards and recognition at the conclusion of their show.  We are already looking forward to the 23.24 Squad Season to come!

For the rest of our programs, this first stage performance of the year helps us to finalize preparations for the competitions and events coming up in the next few weeks and months. Company is off to St. Louis next weekend, and then all of our programs will be dancing in Omaha and/or Des Moines, at various events throughout March, April and May.  We are excited and ready to dive into the season with the bright and sunny positivity inspired by our show.
