The Nebraska Dance 2023 Dance Concert week has come to an end. From June 1st-4th, ND recreational and program students took the stage for nine incredible shows. From toddlers to graduating seniors, and from ballet to hip hop, every student had a moment to shine!
We are still grinning from ear to ear thinking about all the love, joy, and positivity we shared over the weekend with our dance family. Every staff member is so incredibly proud of each one of our students! Witnessing their progress over the year, and then savoring that special time on stage is a celebration we cherish.
Sunflowers and sunny yellow decor brightened every corner at Burke High School, and families could be seen enjoying the ambiance while visiting and celebrating their dancers. From the adorable photo backdrop opportunities to the snacks and gifts in the cafeteria, the dance concert weekend is an unforgettable experience!
A highlight of the Mini shows every year is the Daddy/Daughter Cinderella dance, set to the Steven Curtis Chapman song. This sentimental tradition is always sure to leave the audience a little misty-eyed. For the first time this year, dads of 2nd-5th grade students also got in on the fun. Our inaugural group of Track A and Track B Daddy/Daughter dancers brought down the house with their upbeat grooves. We are already looking forward to adding this to our annual traditions for the dance concert.
At the Track C/D show, we had the honor of celebrating our graduating seniors. The family of each senior was invited to come onstage to greet their senior and let them know just how proud they are. On Sunday, the Jumpstart, Core, Troupe, and Company programs had their day to perform, celebrate the culmination of their season, and salute the Seniors moving on to their next adventures.
The entire staff is always in awe of our kids every time we reach the dance concert! We walk away each year so proud of our students, and so excited for all they have accomplished. We hope your dancer enjoyed their dance concert experience, and we look forward to seeing you this summer at the studio!
