The weekend of February 28 and March 1, 2026 marks the official start of performance and competition season for most of our 2025-2026 Nebraska Dance programs. The Nebraska Dance Winter Showcase, held at Elkhorn North High School, is the perfect way to kick off an exciting season ahead.
Split into five performances across the weekend, the showcase features all of our Competitive and Performance Programs, along with soloists. With costumes, lights, the thrill of the stage, and all the backstage fun and camaraderie, this weekend truly sets the tone for the months to come.
ND Love - Celebrating 25 Years of Nebraska Dance
Our theme for the season is “ND Love – Celebrating 25 Years of Nebraska Dance,” a sentiment that echoes through every class, rehearsal, and performance. At its heart, ND Love is about more than movement—it’s about meaning.
As we reflected on what has sustained Nebraska Dance for 25 years, we kept returning to a familiar passage:
“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”
– 1 Corinthians 13:13
This verse reminds us that while seasons change and time moves forward, love is what endures. At Nebraska Dance, love is woven into every class and rehearsal, every collaboration, and every connection formed in our studios and on our stages.
Kicking Off the Season
For our Squad program, which has already had an eventful competition season, the Winter Showcase will be their final performance of the year. We are incredibly proud of all they’ve accomplished and are already looking ahead with excitement to the 2026-2027 Squad season.
For the rest of our programs, this first stage performance helps finalize preparations for the busy competition season ahead. Company will travel to Chicago the weekend following the showcase, followed by all competitive programs performing in Omaha, Kansas City, and Des Moines throughout March, April, and May.
Another favorite event each year is our Benefit Concert, an annual showcase where all proceeds support a local charity organization. As the season comes to a close, our dancers will perform in the 2026 Dance Concerts, and Company will then round out their season with travel to Nationals in Branson, Missouri.
We are excited and ready to dive into a season filled with growth, connection, and celebration—honoring the love that makes Nebraska Dance truly feel like home.
